Showing Opportunities

Empire Equestrian has an active show team that participates in everything from local schooling shows to large regional open & rated shows. Our lesson ponies are available for students who wish to show but do not own a horse or pony of their own. In order to be eligible to show a lesson pony, students must be taking a minimum of one lesson per week for at least two months prior to showing. 

Mackenzie is also available to coach students who have their own horse/pony or to show a horse/pony for its owner. 

Pricing

Showing can be expensive which is why we require our lesson students to commit to weekly lessons for several months prior to participating in their first show. Coaching fees are per student. Hauling is for each horse and is split if the horse/pony is shared by students. For riders who do not currently own or lease, there is a show lease fee of $75 per day or $150 per weekend. Any additional fees for the horse/pony at the show will be the responsibility of the student(s) (i.e., stabling, bedding, tack stall etc.). If a hotel is needed for the trainer, then this will be split between the students attending. Below is a list of fees that can be expected for a show.
  • Coaching: $70/day
  • Hauling: $2/mi round trip​ per horse
  • Horse Lease: $75/day or $150/weekend
  • Trainer hotel: split between the students attending
  • Class fees: $10-20/class
  • Stabling: $20-120
  • Office Fee: $5-40
